CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Creative Discovery Museum has partnered with EPB on a new interactive exhibit. It’s designed to teach kids about fiber optics, electricity, and the Smart Grid.
Kids can get hands on time creating cube robots, connecting circuits, flipping breakers for miniature homes, and using a touch screen simulator. The screen is designed to emulate how EPB’s Smart Grid responds to power outages. It’s all a part of an expanded Make It Space area at the museum.
There’s also a video explaining the characteristics of optical fiber, and how it’s manufactured.
