FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. (WDEF)- The Georgia Department of Labor is helping Nissin Brake recruit about 40 full-time assembly workers to work in Rock Spring.

The recruitment was held today  at the Fort Oglethorpe City Hall.

The company is seeking workers who are at least 18 years old, it prefers those with a high school diploma or a GED.

The company offers training availability for applicants chosen for the positions.

Cassie Keith, who is a staffing specialist states, “The base is starting out at $10.10 and um, with certain companies you can get hired in much quicker than others, um with the amount of overtime right now so it’s a great time to get in with a company and get hired in quickly and get some money in time for Christmas.”

Nissin Brake is a Tier 1 supplier of brake systems for automotive and non-automotive applications for Honda, Harley-Davidson and GM.

Applicants who are chosen will be required to pass a drug screening and background check
