The Salvation Army signed up 75 Chattanooga area families for Thanksgiving Baskets.
But the students did such a good job, five more families will be helped.
The middle school students gathered potatoes, yams, and cranberry sauce for the families who otherwise wouldn’t have a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
The McCallie upper school students gathered money to buy 75 turkeys.
Kimberly George with the Salvation Army said, "The Salvation Army has partnered with McCallie for about four or five years now, with coming together and providing Thanksgiving meals for families who are in need."
They’ll be distributing the baskets Friday.
And since Christmas is a little more than a month away, you can also help with the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
